June is nearly here and that means…The 2016 Mental Health Summer Recovery Camp is getting closer!
After the success of 2015 Mental Health Summer Recovery Camp in Scotland, we are repeating the experience near Ivybridge, Devon (Postcode: PL21 0JG) in June 2016.
The Mental Health Summer Recovery Camp 2016 will run from Thursday 23 June 2016 until we leave the camp on Tuesday 28 June. The venue will be Harford Bunhouse, Ivy Bridge, Devon, England.
This is the perfect venue, a working farm, lots of space and different kinds of accommodation, including camping, pods and a bunkhouse. It’s a friendly place and they keep Kune Kune pigs! It’s 1.5 miles from a railway station.
The camp features a mixture of workshops and presentations during the day, with entertainment in the evening. The camp will be self-catering but we will have a camp shop and cafe offering snacks & meals at a reasonable price.
This camp is ALL INCLUSIVE – all accommodation, workshops, speakers & entertainment is included in booking price!
The expectation of the Recovery Camp is that people will work hard in the day on their recovery journeys and learning how to implement recovery. The evenings will be plenty of fun, music and more!
The camp is open to EVERYONE – People with lived experience, family, friends, support workers and professionals are all welcome!
Every morning, we will start the day with a Big Tent Discussion with a Keynote presentation, then the rest of the morning will be workshops, seminars, art sessions and alternative therapy. The afternoon will follow the same format, beginning with a Big Tent Discussion and moving back into workshops and seminars.
